Seriously, how many of you really would swear that our good leaders will actually "fix" this goddamm piece of shit legislation, if it is passed without true reform controls?

1. The money will be long gone by then... tucked away in unumbered accounts
across the globe. The heist will be complete. We'll be up to our ears in debt, and the top 1% will enriched beyond their wildest dreams.

This, of course, has been the goal all along.

2. Still waiting on Habeus Corpus
So my guess is, no fix will be provided once they force this through. Anyone who cheerleads for this bill should offer to pay for it themselves.

8. I'm still waiting, but certainly not holding my breath for these clowns.

Just an aside, but since you brought up the fact that almost no one testifies against the Bush cabal; doesn't it make one wonder if threats of violence to family members of those supposed to testify has anything to do with this phenomenon?

10. i would not put anything past bush, inc., but....
...even if this is happening (which I doubt because there are simpler explanations for political bad behavior), i am adamantly opposed to using this as an excuse for selling out one's country. our founders risked life and limb for years to establish our freedom and security. I expect no less from our representatives.

4. Like 1932 circumstances will force them to continue to pass bills
the question at this point whether they will go IMF on us, or not

And it depends on YOU and ME for them not to go IMF on us

This is not the last word on this... at ALL

And this is what people are missing

And given how much the Feds have already pumped in... this is chump change

15. I think you have a typo in your OP.
"...that our good leaders..."

I think you meant to say "...absolutely worthless fuckwads masquerading as leaders..." And that goes for the rest of the bunch too. They sold us out long ago and never looked back. If people don't realize that by now they probably never will.

16. It's not bullshit.
Fixing it is imperative, and fixing the fix almost as urgent. Why in the world should we give up now, when the House has yet to speak, and no bill has been signed into law?

We must push for the best House bill we can get, lean on * to sign it, and most important of all, keep urging Congress to fix the real problems in the time they will buy. Next year's Congress will be even more amenable to real solutions, and we need to become stalkers.

The economy's a moving target. If we are stuck with a terrible deal now, it can be modified or replaced completely.
