2. It depends if dems like Dennis and conservative republicans team up and become one voice!

What a team Dennis and his republican colleagues! Who would have thought those would be the people DU trusts as populists.

letting him know my feelings and why i'm against it. i doubt it will be stopped again. bush and paulson get what they want, and the rest of us get to eat shit. i am thoroughly disgusted and disheartened. they could have done so much better than this. and paulson! that creep.

4. holy crap I hope not...
It is a robbery, and an epic mistake, IMO.

And by 'epic' I mean that it is going to change the course of US history for generations.

Welcome to the new banana republic: 'Murika.

7. Me too. That would be a pretty good outcome for Obama. He could say that at least he tried.
And then hopefully the third time is a charm. Although I really don't understand what happened on this second time around. Where's the leadership? Where's the vision? Where's the progressive version of the bill that the American public can get behind?

9. Write your Congressman/woman. Vote No.
We had no real leadership on this issue. We are not being informed with the reality of the situation.

11. No, it's blocked - they were getting too many comments, so they
blocked incoming email till the vote is over.

They don't want to hear any more comments - they voted the bill down once, just so they can say that they did, but they will pass the second one, and claim they "had to".

Again, politicians know where their money comes from, and it is not from you or me.

6. I hope it will die, and I hope MORE Democrats vote against it.
Not that I expect my hopes to be realized, of course.

As ever.

8. Well, I guess at least McCain voted for it too.
So at least the political repercussions should be minimal. It's pretty bizarre to think of what President Obama has just done to himself though.
