McCain babysits for Palin on CBS interview
I have followed elections since the 60s and have never seen anything like this before. My jaw dropped when I saw McCain actually answering questions for her. I just hope that apolitical types who saw this found it half as appalling as I did.

30. Is it any wonder?
He's an angry bitter little troll with rage issues. And the Republicans brought her on to boost his ticket.

Nothing more... just shaddap and make John look good.

12. I couldn't believe my eyes! Controlling little troll that he is, he couldn't keep his mouth shut.
He really and truly makes me sick. And then his smirky little jerky smile, to whoever was sitting in the audience -
like a toddler who just pooped on the potty for the first time.

BLECCCHH!!!!!!

McPervert would've selected her, instead.

18. In a restaurant, does he order for her?
McCain: Now the little lady will have the moose and I will have the Filet Mignon.

Palin: Now Daddy, you know steak messes with your constitution, don't cha know?

McCain: Shut your smart mouth you little c*&^. Don't you realize I am a former POW and am a war hero? I'll send your fundy ass right back to the frozen tundra.

Palin: So surry Daddy. If you do send me back, please make it before hunting season starts. By the way, can I claim all of this travel and meals and such on my taxes?

15. I am not surprised...
McCain is the Social Dominator = leader, where as Palin is the Right-wing Authoritarian = follower; and Palin's marriage works the same way, only her husband is the Social Dominator but her husband is also a Right-wing Authoritarian.

We do not need people like that in any Governing position.

19. Did Palin call that voter in the pizzeria a "constituent"?
I seem to recall that she said that. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the term constituent was used to describe someone who has elected a politician. According to the online American Heritage Dictionary, a constituent in this context means "a resident of a district or member of a group represented by an elected official". I thought this term in the case of Palin would be used for her constituents in Alaska. She's probably used that term in Alaska quite a bit. She hasn't been elected Vice President yet and she's already talking about her "constituents". Shouldn't she have described this voter as a member of the electorate instead? I could be wrong, though.

29. This must be what McCain blew off Letterman to do.
Good gravy!

And not only is he completely condescending, but he's speaking just as incoherently as Palin:

"I understand that "Gotcha" journalism. Is that a pizza place?"

Say whaaa? Even Palin looked like she was thinking, "What are you talking about? Oh, right: Good one, Gramps!"

31. Remember when the 9/11 Commission wanted to question George W. Bush, and he had to bring Cheney?
It was like being hit in the head with a hammer hearing that for the first time.

This may refresh your memory, if you had forgotten, from an interview with Jim Lehrer:
~snip~
REPORTER: Mr. President, as you know, a lot of critics suggested that you wanted to appear jointly with the vice president so that you two could keep your stories straight or something.

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH: Yeah.

REPORTER: Could you tell us what you think of the value of appearing together and how you would answer those critics?

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH: Yeah, first of all, look, I mean, if we had something to hide, we wouldn't have met with them in the first place. I came away good about the session, because I wanted them to know, you know, how I set strategy, how we run the White House, how we deal with threats.

The vice president answered a lot of their questions, answered all their questions. And I think it was important for them to see our body language as well, how we work together.

Apparently there IS a precedent in Republicans having to take guardians/keepers/translators/mentors/henchmen to interviews, when they are simply too feeble to handle them alone.
