2. Barney should resign immediately

Along with Pelosi and Reid. Democracy, that means carrying out the will of the people. A win would have destroyed the Democratic Party. People were already preparing the call for a new populist party.

Three smaller points: 1. The bill wouldn't have stopped the approaching tsunami, merely have protected the guilty parties, protecting them from losses and responsibility. Barney must just be stupid, but Pelosi and Reid, are they stupid or evil? 2. How stupid could the House leadership be? Drinking the koolaid and doing the heavy lifting for Bush and the Wall Street looters? Yeah, that would have gone over well. The Democrats would have owned the failure of the bill and the economy, not the Reptilicons. 3. Could Paulson and Bernanke be arrested for attempted financial fraud?
