Honestly, I'm mixed up on the whole thing - and am struggling to understand it.

So today, the first bailout vote goes down in defeat. And yet here on DU, many folks don't want it to pass anyway. Ironically, the pukes are taking a majority position against Shrub.

What bailout scenario most benefits Obama's chances at victory? It seems both on DU and with the Dem party at large, there is no consensus.

3. I hope your right!
The pukes will try and frame it as a Dem problem, but that is hard to do when those who walked in lock-step with Shrub for 8 years, the same admin which caused this financial clusterfuck - are now dissing their leader.

2. I don't think it really matters. The fact that it's come up (possible DEPRESSION) means Obama wins.
I think most here (and even most Reps) are voting the way they think is best for the economy.
