8. I am not scared. FDR said fear was all we have to fear and it is true.
My father lived through the depression. He was born in 1912. My family will survive if I go broke and have to live growing my own food. Greed is a killer and it will continue to kill as long as fucking republicans are in power. :dem:

14. Not True Millions More Lost Their Jobs After FDR Said That
It was a nice one liner but the depression continued right up until World War II.

Unless people were brain dead, of course they feared the worst during the great depression.

But, people didn't take the depression sitting on their hands. It took a few years, but millions began to organize against big business interests.

And they were successful.

And don't forget, in this new depression most Democrats enabled with their votes the Republicans to have their way on economic policy.

3. A ton of Dems voted against it too...
...which will allow us to take some credit for the next bill which, hopefully, will actually address some of the issues.

4. ... that's funny because the House Vote is:
Dem --- 141 yea, 94 nay

Rep --- 66 yea, 132 nay

Looks pretty much like a split to me ... but if the MSM wants to blame the GOP, I'm ok with it.

5. Some quotes I heard:
"I can't believe they didn't support their president." "Now is not the time to make an ideological statement."

6. In the days ahead...
With this voting down of the bill in the house and as the pain grows, you asre gonna see a lot more pundits and commentators laying the blame for this right at the feet of the repukes and the blue dogs.

Where it belongs.

Yeah, it was a shiity bill. That said, we have been handed a turd and told to polish it, and when you do that, the polishing cloth tends to be shitty as well.

7. Don't know
When the bill finally passes and it will, they can say the Republicans tried to
prevent it from happening, which will placate the majority of Americans who are
simply against it and will demonize the Democrats. It shouldn't be political but
it is, the Republicans will be sure of that.

10. No. this vote and Dow's reaction was a wake-up call.
The Dems will not pay any price for this. Most blame the Repubs and for good reason.

politics and reality. Politics kills just like a gun. :dem:

9. They're running away from Fuckface as fast as they can.
He's political cancer, and they don't want him on them.

Hell of a time to grow a backbone, you shameless thugs.

But, at the same time, I'm glad they're holding this up. It should not pass.
