I bet the closer you are to retirement, the more that might be true.

dad is 69 still working because he wants to, now he might have to continue because he has to work.

5. I am also 69 and still working because I want to.
I don't know what I'd do if I retired. I can't afford to travel, which I would like to do. So, now it looks like I am going to have to keep working.

6. Thank the Goddess that we took our IRAs out of the
stock market a few months ago. They're in money markets now which may not be too much better, but at least we stopped hemorrhaging. I applied for my early social security last week -- hopefully I'll get a little of it before it's gone. I'm 62 tomorrow, my husband is 61.
