We have a tough road ahead. As has been said:
No matter how far you go in the wrong direction---turn around.

7. FDR got the shit burger in 1932. He ate it and crapped out the New Deal for us all.
With any luck, Obama will do the same if it ever came to the Second Great Depression.

10. It'll still crash and the Dems will get the blame and the $$$ will not be
there to help ease the Depression pain on Main Street. And, they'll ask for another bailout. And another.

16. Well, "Wall Street" is no more, anyway. There are no more 'investment banks.'
Edited on Mon Sep-29-08 12:47 PM by TahitiNut
Goldman and Morgan changed spots. We're now watching the dominoes fall ... reducing the number of commercial banks to fewer and fewer ... dominated by behemoths. WaMu eaten ... Citi gobbled up Wachovia ... National City is next.

Yes... I don't see the "financial sector" recovering without even BIGGER shoes dropping than the $700B bailout. Even bigger problems face us because NOTHING is being done to correct the CAUSE of the collapse of the Ponzi house of cards.

Dems voting 2::1 FOR and GOP voting 2::1 AGAINST ... the blood is in the waters
