OK I heard on local news this morning the bail out bill passed the House 222-199
That sounds like Party line voting to me. Does anyone know the breakdown? How many Republicans and how many Democrats?

9. That was probably the procedural vote to allow it to go to the floor for debate and be voted on.
Don't know if the closeness of that reflects at all on what the final vote on the bill might be.

Could be, some hold-outs voted against bringing it to the floor so they could save some face for after voting FOR the actual bill. Could be, procedural votes like that mean nothing. Could be, it means the final vote will mirror it (which would be pretty close). Don't know.
