...the bailout plan that Paul is speaking against is a marked-up version of the Bush/Paulson plan.

There are many different ways to approach this problem. Bush and Paulson decided on a massive bailout of the banking industry. Congress has tinkered with it, but it's still the Bush/Paulson plan. Other approaches haven't even been considered.

So, you're effectively trusting Bush by distrusting Paul.
