Sure, Congress marked it up, but it's only one of many ways of dealing with this issue...and it's the only way we're discussing.

This should be opened up for debate. There are other plans to look at that don't involve a bailout of this size, coupled with regulatory changes and aid to homeowners. They're not being discussed because the Bush/Paulson approach is the ONLY one we're looking at.
