Sigh...I miss President Bartlett
I'm watching The West Wing on Bravo this morning. Man I miss that show!

It's the episode when he shuts down the government on a budget dispute and then walks to Congress. Great episode! I always pictured Bill Clinton in that role, but, now I could see Obama in that role as well. I think he will lead similarly.

5. Actually I think Palmer helped Obama
I think it made it easier for people to accept him. 24 is a popular show, with all demographics. I think it paved the way for people to believe that a black president could be a great thing. The character of Palmer was one of dignity, intelligence, and integrity.

I got bored with it though,it got too predictable and it lacked anything new after the 4th season. Heroes is my new fav. Last year, they were on at the same time, so I tivoed 24. What I found is that I wasn't all that interested in watching it.

8. Same thoughts here
What started as a great show, almost unbearable to watch because of the tension, became a very formula driven, predictable series not worth 24-hrs of your time.

2. I miss Bartlet, too.
And Abbie
And Toby
And Leo (R.I.P.)
And:

Sam
Josh
Donna
C.J.
Margaret
Ginger
Bonnie
Mrs. Landingham
Charlie
Zoe
Ellie

The whole crew.

I also miss John Larroquette's character from the one single episode from the Second Season. Tribby was such a larger than life figure, he seemed to have been in several episodes, instead of just the one.

6. The whole series was awesome
Right up there with my favorite movie president in "An American President" I HAVE to watch that everytime it comes on. Ranks right up there with my sappy 80's John Hughes movies. Always watch 'Pretty in Pink', '16 Candles' and 'The Breakfast Club'

7. Me too.
I am doing a paper on the similarities of the Matt Santos campaign and the Obama campaign of today. I'm comparing the narritive of each candidate and the speeches they've made. There was some excellent writing on that show - even after the sputter of transition when Sorkin left.

9. TV America gets an honest, nobel laureate in economics, primarily motivated by
doing what is best for the nation.

We get an illiterate, simple minded, addict that had to buy his MBA and his shaky 'C' average.

11. Dog I hope so, but I think he made a critical mistake towing the Party line
on this "No billionaire left behind" bill.

Fortunately, McSame & The Moose are doing everything they can to be worse.
