Hey Obama! Wanna win this thing TODAY?
Simple. Come out against the bailout proposal. Not totally, but on the current bill. There are some things that are very objectionable in it, and say you can't support it as it is now.

This will get EVERYONE in this country behind you. NOBODY wants this thing.

1. If only he could vote 'present'
like he could in the IL senate. Wait...that *is* a political tactic, isn't it?

2. I'm so disappointed & depressed that Obama has gone along with this.

This was his first major crisis, and frankly, he blew it.

I have a growing list of other plans for fixing the crisis that don't involve spending $700 billion to prop up the most corrupt, elite bastards in the country:

... just to show a few.

Why didn't Obama show the wisdom to find some other plan -- ANY other plan -- that was workable?

Obama is still my guy, and when he gets elected, I will rejoice that Bush is gone, and that McCain did not replace him. But for a guy who is campaigning that we can't stand four more years of the same, he sure just gave us More of the Same.

4. Doesn't really shock me.
The two candidates who would have gone after the corpoRATs were marginalized and ignored and one was silenced, permanently, politically speaking, that is.

3. I don't think this bill is a big deal
especially when compared to the Pentagon's budget over many years which by definition has been used to fund destruction

I'm much more concerned about a domino effect and the apparent utter confusion in the financial sector and the markets worldwide.
