I am not keeping my money in these banks.
This bailout bill activates a zero percent reserve ratio for banks on transactional accounts. I'm not keeping my money in these cockamamie crazy ass banks anymore. Ain't enough FDIC in the world that these cocksuckers won't burn through.

4. You're running on your bank- foregoing interest on savings
essentially panicking and you're calling me assinine?

Crikey.

You've lost all credibility with that statement.

5. Actually, I Was Referring To The Bigotry Your Post Implied
But to address your current asinine post, have you seen the current interest rates? I have. In fact, since I refused to play the stock market knowing it was a gamble, the paltry cd and regular savings accounts interest is all I have been earning. I will gladly pay that paltry sum in order to make a statement.

6. How is that bigoted?

That's how most undocumented immigrants operate! With check cashing services and money orders.

Yes, 3% isn't so great- that's what my credit union pays on savings- though there are higher rates than that- but taking your money out and stashing it somewhere- that just isn't very smart.

Also, people with 401k or who have stock plans with their companies are going to suffer too- right alongside Wall Street and the banks that people seem to hate to such an extent that they're willing to fuck everyone else in the country over in order to get their childish way.

7. So You Are Suggesting That Just Because People (Or Their
representatives) were stupid enough to gamble their savings away, we should pay off those that stole it? I just don't get that logic.

9. Seems to me you don't understand the legislation
and also could care less about what happens to millions of peoples' retirement accounts- or the companies that they work for (oh yes- a creit freeze affects businesses in EVERY sector of the economy- meaning double digit unemplyment and quite possibly stagflation if oil prices rise again).

Nope- sounds like "you've got yours" and so screw everybody else- because I hate Wall Street and the bankers so very much.

Here's a clue- failing to act may well take you down too.

11. Actually, I Don't Have Mine
My retirement account is no safer than anybody else's (and is out of my control) but I don't see that as a reason to sell out America's future. So what if we don't get to freaken enjoy life the way we thought we deserved. Principles really are important.

10. Bull
I'm in the biz of taking money from a lot of people to pay for their rent. The ratio is 1:5 in number of people paying cash/MO vs check to pay their bill, and they're not illegal immigrants. Telling someone that "taking their money out and stashing it somewhere - that just isn't very smart" is extremely presumptuous of you. That would be like me telling you not to invest in the Stock market or 401(k) because that's like gambling!

Oh, you did you say? Gambled that the market would always go up, couldn't go bust and that the swarmy stockbrokers investing your retirement money went and blew it. Damn, sucks to be you.

12. I'm moving my savings to NCUSIF.
Not that the "full faith and credit of the U.S. Government" means much these days, but credit unions don't seem to be as "at risk" as these other institutions.
