An impossible standard to which Biden may aspire
I know it wasn't enough in '88, but it was about the best moment one could hope for in a VP debate, and frankly I just love this video.

3. With McCain being as old as he is, and with Palin being the major energizer of the GOP base
In this case I think it will have more of an impact.
