Just some of the reasons being-

-I don't really deserve it, and I haven't earned it by going bankrupt, but who the hell cares?

-When I get it I'll spend it on my cronies via kickbacks and under the table deals.

-After I'm done with them I plan on using the rest on my personal Golden Parachute fund- why the hell should I actually do any real WORK when the money is free?

-In the absence of any real monetary figures I hereby demand ten twenty - ah, fuck it- fifty million dollars.

-After I get it I get to do whatever the hell I want with it with no oversight or repercussions.

-After I blow through the initial bailout I insist on a second one, only twice the original amount.

I want your my money, and I want it now! I have things to do this week!

4. You are forgetting - it is a matter of our reputations too!

We have always lived in the nice big houses in the good neighborhoods, and attended the fancy pants colleges and got the heavily Acronym-ned Degrees.

Those other bums caused this whole thing - insisting that the mortgage industry offer their lazy asses some type of "subprime" mortgage and what not.

Just because we were nice enough to help that subclass of humanity out - should we be punished for it??
