WTF !!! - Can Somebody Explain This FDIC Failed Bank List To Me ???
Take a look at the "Closing Date" and then the "Updated Date".

With recent bank closings, the dates are identical. But if you scroll down and and look at closings that happened in 2007, 2004, etc., there are "updates" to 2008! Many of them, July 25, 2008.

I posted something about this list several weeks ago, and I don't remember the list having that many "updates" to 2008!

Anybody know what the "updates" mean, and can you explain what the hell is going on???

2. LOL !!! - I Thought It Would Just Take Me To Their Websites !!!
:banghead:

So... this is kind of the closing of the doors, versus the finishing off of the business, (assets, accounts, etc.).

Am I close?

And how many years do you think it will take to "update" the WaMu failure?

6. Thanks Bloo...
It freaked me out, because the last time I looked, there was a difference in updates, but not nearly as many in 2008. They need to have a "final closing" column for nitwits like me.

:hi:

3. There's a link to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Service Center
which you can use to contact them and ask questions. It's at the bottom of the page, with a series of links including FAQ's & contact info.

I'd like to know what this is about too.

4. It's possible that on that date,
they updated those documents to add more information, a link to another site, perhaps...
