HEADLINE: Laura Bush reads to underprivileged children in Colombia
She reads. To underprivileged kids. And chooses a book about a hungry cat who wants milk. Well thought-out, Laura, if this doesn't fill their void, nothing will.

====

BOGOTA, Colombia: While presidents George W. Bush and Alvaro Uribe talked about trade and the war on drugs, U.S. first lady Laura Bush chased the moon with Kitten and a group of underprivileged Colombian children.

Escorted by Colombian first lady Lina Moreno, Bush — a former librarian and teacher — visited a children's library in Bogota's old town where she read, in English, a personal favorite: "Kitten's First Full Moon," by Kevin Henkes, about a hungry cat who confuses the full moon with a bowl of milk.

5. The former librarian and teacher....
Jenna is described as a former teacher too, like she'd been teaching for years. I don't know why, but this makes me laugh.

8. Yeah, I taught my sister how to knit so I'm going to call myself a "former teacher"
Ridiculous.

Laura Easybake ought to spend more time reading to her UNDERLITERATE spouse ... except he won't sit still long enough to listen.
