2. I thought it was pathetic how he kept trying to bring up the "maverick" thing
without actually saying it. Between that, listing the places he's been to (almost as many as me!) and stating and restating, "Senator Obama does not understand..." it was clear he was playing to the same old republicans, using the same old shit. Happily, nobody was fooled.

4. No kidding... WTF refers to themselves as a 'maverick'?
Edited on Sat Sep-27-08 05:11 PM by TWriterD
It's like those who sniff "I'm soooo avant-garde."

6. Oh, he said it alright. He even called Mooselini a maverick.
"I have a long record and the American people know me very well and that is independent and a maverick of the Senate and I'm happy to say that I've got a partner that's a good maverick along with me now."

9. Oooh, did he call her a maverick?
I was walking out of the room when I heard him make a reference to her. That in itself seemed fake as hell... "Don't forget Sarah!" sort of like, "Don't forget Poland!"

17. Who refers to themselves as a Maverick? That's like Elvis referring
to himself as the King. That must have been one hell of a shark that he jumped.

10. Palin even lied about that!
Yeah, well, looks like the much-vaunted “Sarah Palin” who “won Miss Congeniality” in a “beauty contest” might not have “won Miss Congeniality” at all, that is, unless her name is “Amy Gwin.”
