Mad Dog Palin
http://www.alternet.org/election08/100551/mad_dog_palin_/

By Matt Taibbi, RollingStone.com. Posted September 27, 2008.

The scariest thing about John McCain's running mate isn't how unqualified she is -- it's what her candidacy says about America.

I'm standing outside the XCEL ENERGY CENTER in St. Paul Minnesota Sarah Palin has just finished her speech to the Republican National Convention, accepting the party's nomination for vice president. If I hadn't quit my two-packs-a-day habit earlier this year, I'd be chain-smoking now. So the only thing left is to stand mute against the fit-for-a-cheap-dog-kennel crowd-control fencing you see everywhere at these idiotic conventions and gnaw on weird new feelings of shock and anarchist rage as one would a rawhide chew toy.

All around me, a million cops in their absurd post-9/11 space-combat get-ups stand guard as assholes in papier-mache puppet heads scramble around for one last moment of network face time before the coverage goes dark. Four-chinned delegates from places like Arkansas and Georgia are pouring joyously out the gates in search of bars where they can load up on Zombies and Scorpion Bowls and other "wild" drinks and extramaritally grope their turkey-necked female companions in bathroom stalls as part of the "unbelievable time" they will inevitably report to their pals back home. Only 21st-century Americans can pass through a metal detector six times in an hour and still think they're at a party.

2. Will The Repugs Wire Palin for the Debate?
Everyone is assuming Old Joe will crush that dumbo Palin in the debate, but what if the repugs wire her like they did Bush? Remember the radio pack under his jacket, and the wire, and the way he Hesitated before he was fed his radio response?

We need an electronic countermeasure. There has to be a way to jam that signal to the repugs don't get away with it again. Some Democrats are soooo naive, they'll let crookery like that go by without even suspecting it. We really need to start thinking as underhanded as the opposition.

3. It's not so easy to have someone speaking in your ear,
as you try to speak as well...it takes practice, and you can come off appearing to be really spacey stupid. If I were running their campaign, I would be afraid to try a wire on Caribou Barbie.

4. our founders dream come true
Edited on Sat Sep-27-08 04:25 PM by Poseidan
The 1st amendment was written so people could say, 'suck my balls' (T&A).

The Constitution needs amending. If there is one great failing in the Constitution, it comes from the lack of historical account. We should know exactly what led to each and every part of the Constitution, so we know the actual intent and can legislate accordingly.

Team Conservative, the group who cherry-picks and distorts whatever ideas they can best profit from, then lumps them all together under the brand-name 'conservative', has ruined this nation for far too long. Nearly every awful thing happening in America, or through America, comes out of the Republican/Conservative party.

5. Matt Taibbi is a
hack. I have read his articles, seen him on Real Time and he tries to come off as the next Hunter S. Thompson. He fails miserably/.
