Just returned from Krogers. TWO tabloids at the checkout made my day.

There was the National Enquirer with its Palin and her lover revealed cover.

That one was no surprise. There were threads about it here at DU earlier this week.

I didn't catch the name of the second one, but Cindy McCain and her drug habit made the featured spot on the cover. One of the subtitles was "50 pills a day!"

This would be a great week for McCain to do a photo-op in a supermarket.

15. we were in a store this morning

saw the Cindy drug tabloid, pointed it out to my partner. a woman in line said "you don't believe that do you?"

me: sure do, it's an old story. if you have internet access, run a google search for cindy mccain drugs. well documented by reputable sources. she had a charity that provided health care, she was stealing the drugs for herself, wrote out prescriptions using other people's names.

then I pointed to the palin lover story running on national enquirer "don't know about that one, but they were right about edward's having an affair, and they were the ones who found out about Palin's teenage daughter being pregnant... soooooo, I would be surprised if it's true."

the woman's mouth dropped open, sputtered, and then said "I'll be sure to check it out"
