I think the three most important words of the debate were McCain's.
He said he would eliminate the ethanol subsidy. Did they hear that in Iowa?

3. Soon as I heard him say that I said "HA! You just lost Iowa, nitwit!"
Do you think it's POSSIBLE that his advisors are telling him tosay stuff like that, or is he just being his idiot self?

I'm not for it either, but I just wonder how that played in the heartland. My guess is that McCain may retract that statement.

5. Aside from playing political football, that's about the only thing he said that I agree with.

8. Yes, but are you going to vote on that issue?
I doubt anyone on your side will, but flip it over and it could be a killer issue with the agra community.

9. Wasn't McCain already 12 points down in Iowa?
I don't think he's worried about losing their votes anymore.

13. Kansas & Nebraska = lots of racist anti-choice creationist voters
They'll be pissed at McCain for dropping the subsidy, but they were praying for his quick demise and a Palin takeover anyway. His lead may drop a bit, but those are pretty safe states for M/P.

10. Politics aside, that subsidy is just awful. Hell on our farmland and our food prices.
