The editor of the Nation says that he died yesterday. I didn't know. The world just lost a truly great man

1. This virtual heaven that some like to speak of...
just got one hot hunk of an angel. What a sad day, though I'm glad he lived a full life up to 83. And what a life it was. So few of like fame were so down to earth and giving of their time and money. And what an example. He was married to the same woman for 50 years, and for all I could see, he adored her. I'm really wanting to cry today.

was a driving trip through all of of the backroads of Connecticut just him and her. What a sweet present

3. When asked why he didn't rove when so many beautiful women were around, he answered,
"Why have hamburger when you already have steak?"

What a lucky woman, to be loved like that. :sigh:

4. Just to be clear, he left his first wife and kids for Joanne, not that
there's anything wrong with that. The son from the first marriage was the one that died..
