Infrastructure, education and healthcare are not "wasteful spending." But if we continue to let the "earmarks" meme tar discussion of the budget and the economy, then we aren't going to get any traction on fixing our crumbling bridges (b/c after all they are ALL 'bridges to nowhere'), improving schools or providing a rational healthcare system.

We have to put the kibosh on this generalization of earmarks with all public spending.

1. I agree, McShithead is making all government spending "earmarks", and also

conflating the Wall Street mess with "earmarks" too. Defense spending, though, remains defense spending--NOT earmarks.
