War on Right Wing Radio: Levin Unloads on Billo

If you want to know what it’s like to be a Philadelphia Sixers fan who hates Celtic legend Larry Bird only to wake up one glorious morning to find he’s been traded to the Sixers, yesterday was your day.

The morning began with Bill O’Reilly ripping into right wing talk show hosts… ALL OF THEM, saving a special condemnation for Rush Limbaugh.

Some of his comments included…

• “Kool-aid drinking idiots”
• “Right wing liars”
• “They don’t care if you suffer”

...

That came last night when Mark Levin, perhaps the Loudest of the Lords of Loud, took on FOX’s Big Bad Bully Bill. Keith Olbermann could not have done it better. ...

I heard O'LOOFAH flame out about Barney FRANK last week. What he was saying was "G-D you, Barney FRANK!1 You were always out there saying that if we didn't lend money to the poor we were PREJUDICED!1"


In other words, he was blaming the cash poor for taking out mortgates they couldn't pay on. He's for the bailout (of the fatcats who GAMBLED), all right.

He is a regular practitioner of the politics of personal destruction.

I've not quite heard this level of pointed commentary directly nestled right next to shrieking insanity in a while.

Some points:

-Bill is FOR the bailout? I don't listen or watch so that's surprising. He also called out the conservatives who blame everything on Clinton, saying "Clinton hasn't been in office in years, this is Bush". At which point Levin tries to imply Bill started it.

-Levin points out Bill's radio show is a failure, which it is, but Bill is still way more 'successful' in the way conservatives measure success (money) than Levin will ever be.

-It was funny when he started yelling about Bill's phone sex

-This is apparently a normal tactic of Levin's. He said the same basic thing about Stephanie Miller. Something like, "Stephanie Miller, a talk show nobody listens to and nobody's heard of."

-Levin has a tragically bad voice for radio

I used to listen to OReilly's radio show all the time until it was pulled from the station lineup. This is not really new, he talked bad about other extreme right wing hosts all the time. I guess he just finally blew his top this time.
