Want a good fast browser, try Google chrome
This is a real hot rod of a browser, I have been running it for about a month. It does not have a lot of bells and whistles, some of the features include the ability to import your favorites from IE and FIREFOX. DU is very fast in this browser, with no problems.
My background is IT SUPPORT,DESKTOPS. The link to download is: ://www.google.com/chrome/index.html?hl=en&brand=CHMA&utm_campaign=en&utm_source=en-ha-na-us-bk&utm_medium=ha&utm_term=google%20chrome

3. It's based on WebKit, which is the same browser engine Apple's Safari uses.

WebKit is open source, but I believe some parts of Chrome that are built on top of it aren't (at least not fully GPL compliant). Also, Google sucks up your browsing history in an "anonymous" way, to help with targeting Chrome's in-browser search functionality (and no doubt other Google products). It comes down to how much you trust Google whether you are happy to allow this.

4. I didn't like it
Even though Google Chrome was touted as having the ability to allocate resources to other tabs when one tab demanded extra computing power, I found the whole program unstable - crashing with great regularity.

I got so disgusted that I uninstalled the program and wiped the registry of any vestige.

7. What is you OS
I run XP PRO and use FreeMem Pro as a memory manager. I run Seti 24/7 and work from home remote controlling remote workstations using Landesk thru MetaFrame. Other programs which are running include company and personnel e-mail. I have had no problems to date.

8. Windows XP, SP 3
The PC came preloaded with Windows 2000, carrying a promise of an upgrade to XP as soon as it became available. I know, it's a dinosaur, but I'm basically cheap - refusing to toss out functional equipment without some compelling reason. I'm neither a gamer nor an artist - and it's not like I'm doing finite element analysis on my home PC - so my needs are fairly simple.

5. I'm going to show this to someone who knows more about this
stuff than me, but I'm really happy that you posted this. My broadband highspeed acts like dial up. The technician came in and said my broaser runs slow. This might help-thanks.
