This bailout plan may affect the election, but not as much as you might think. Just the fact that the Dems. are more or less united on the need to do something and the repubs. are divided on nearly everything means to me a net plus for us. It will either work or not, but there is enough blame for everyone. I believe that the bright light that is shining on the Wall St. thieves will further push the electorate to understand who the real enemy is, and it's not the dems.

This can wait until after the election. I do not believe in the crisis bit. Let the banks crumble. Let the Fed bail out depositors. That is the way it is supposed to work. Get new blood into our financial system. The guys who have rune it up to this point including Paulson and Bernanke and Greenspan failed. They should be pushed out. Sorry, guys, millions of Americans have lost their jobs for no good reason whatsoever. Why should they take on debt to help you keep your jobs?
