How he is going to freeze the budget at the same time giving energy companies a trillion dollars to build 45 nuke plants. At a cost of 9 billion a plant that is one huge subsidy. (add 4.5 bn to decommission them after 20 years) There cannot be nuclear power without huge subsidies. If the energy companies could build them without it, they would be doing it. There is no ban on nukes. They are too expensive to build without the taxpayers picking up the tab.


When he say spending freeze does he mean no roads? hospitals? increases to police and fire? Bridge retrofits? bridge construction? School construction?

Does McCain realize that he does not have a line item veto and cannot take things out of the budget he doesn't like?

Nobody adressed the private contractors in iraq. there are more of them, making more money, than there are troops.
