Please KIck if you agree that OBAMA kicked ASS!
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 10:07 PM by Journalgrrl
It is imperative that we call attention to the obvious

Mccain was uneasy, Obama was unruffled.... Mccain rambled - ALOT, Obama was concise and to the point... Mccain was continually repeating that Obama didn't understand what he was talking about (read:newbie), Obama was willing to find common ground, but wasn't afraid to say WITH SPECIFICS that "you were wrong"

Obama directly addressed McCain all night - McCain refused to look or speak directly to Obama. He also started each response with a dig on Obama... skewed facts, etc...same ol meme.

Obama held himself in check and fed Mccain the TRUTH, and he gagged.

The MSM is pissing me of again, because I think Obama Owned it. If you watched that little EEG thingy on CNN, Obama even had the repubs ollowing aloing with him on his answers, mccain was a flatline. More of the same. I am lovin Keith Olbermann right now!

I want Obama to really rip him more next time too...
But his unruffled approach was really good, he is a statesman. He knows how to pronounce foreign lands and names, what a refreshing thing!

edit: mistyping, I am excited! :)

6. I was hoping he would turn to him and scream BS
I honestly think McCain did better then I expected..

But Obama looked calm, relaxed, and a man I can see leading my country.

Mccain looked like rick davis forced him to come.

But I don't think I've ever seen a debate discussion here that we didn't think we won. And we always dominate the online polls too! Key is, let's turn it into votes!

12. At first
I thought that McCain was getting the better, but you are RIGHT!! Obama looked calm, smart, and like a REAL leader, not a hot head. He is definitely the man that I would want talking to other heads of state rather than looking to fight everyone.

I think the next debate will be an opportunity for Obama to link McCain more closely with Bush and the failed "trickle down" economics. Now he has the room to be a bit more aggressive in the next debate. While McCain's next level up is bursting a blood vessel.

23. Seriously!!
Picture Obama asking McCain, "Senator, if you are so much for cleaning up government, why are there 83 current or former lobbyists in key positions in your campaign?"

Senator McCains response: "Why that's!!!!.....AAAAKKKK!!! (thud).

"se..senator McCain?"

15. Exactly !
McSame had to score big on this debate, and he did not. This was "supposedly" his strength.
Obama exceeded expectations on foreign policy. And, he modeled presidential behavior. I am proud of him.
McSame needs to retire, he is too grumpy.

18. What you said! Definitely kicked!!
You expressed just what I felt. McCain did come out swinging, and it seemed to take Obama a little longer to warm up. But you know, Obama was passionate about what he believed needed to be done, and had been done wrong, yet never lost his cool, and really didn't let McCain get away with the crap he was trying to pull. And he was always respectful to him, even at the end, he and Michelle went over to him and his wife and he said, "good job, John," like civilized people are supposed to. He really did a terrific job all around, and will make a great president. A heluva lot more than McCrass and his condescending attitude. You could hear it in his voice, he seemed smug and superior, and it was a real turn off, very disturbing, really.

31. I agree.
I think to republicans McCain won hands down. Why? Because they are condescending assholes & that's exactly what McCain was last night. They also probably thought Obama was being rude when he set McCain straight on all his 'facts.'

I'm glad to read lots of media accounts that Obama did better.

mchoover gave Obama a dozen chances to mention how he's continually voted against veteran's bills, and i din't hear him mention it once.

McCain looked angry, unsure and was way too condescending and he kept trying to hide this with what can only be described as a creepy uncomfortable smile. McCain wouldn't even look at his opponent.

35. I thought Obama did OK
I would not say "Kicked Ass".

Obama needs to tell people about K street and how Republicans allowed corporate lobbyists to craft legislation to remove oversight. The republican controlled congress basicly became a rubber stamp for corporate interests. And the fact that his campaign is packed with lobbyists and funded by the big corporations and lobbyists went completely unmentioned.

Obama is just not an attack dog. He should work in it.

On the issues, he was right on.
