That was a hard hit Johnny just landed.
"Obama doesn't have the right judgment."

Fair or unfair, right or wrong, that smarted. And as bad as it may have seemed, was well delivered. Obama's chuckle was like a small version of Gore's sigh.

Flame if you wish, but that's how I saw it.

1. He was trying to provoke an ANGRY response
The goal was to present an angry black man to the public, and Obama didn't taket he bait

2. I saw the face of Sarah Palin.
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 09:41 PM by JDPriestly
What does it say about McCain's judgment that he criticizes Obama for his judgment and inexperience and then chooses Sarah Palin who has no clue about much of anything as his VP and at his advanced age?

Obama chuckled because of the irony of McCain's statement in light of his choice of Palin. I was horrified at McCain's gaffe. Having chosen Palin, he needs to shut up about experience and judgment.

4. That's right and it's how it will be perceived by a HUGE chunk of "middle America."
And that is why this election is an uphill battle for us.

5. That wasn't the impression I had
His statement was just an insult because he did not have anything specific to say. It's like pointing and saying "yer stupid" with no qualifier. He basically said "Barack doesn't agree with me." It was weak. Barack made some very good points as to the logic of his judgement and why he thought McBush's was worng headed. McBush did not answer to these issues. Just "Al Queda will build a base there" BFG, they already have bases in many different countries (Sudan anyone?, Pakistan?). His point was pretty much the same point that Johnson and Nixon stayed in Vietnam. It's a loser.

6. That's how Middle America saw it too.
We took some hard hits tonight, and unfortunately we didn't land quite as many.

But this debate was not our strength anyway. The next debates will be much better.

8. Husb2Sparkly, I agree with you. He landed way too many and was far too sharp. I was shocked.
I'm listening to Rachel and Keith try to give Obama the victory, but I just don't see it.

And I hate to say it.

But I hope I'm wrong and the "average" American saw through McAnus.

9. McCain did what he had to do
McCain appealed to the low iq, mouth breathing boneheads who will never fact check anything. you know, the same ones who believed bush when he said Gore was using "fuzzy math"
Actually Gore was correct but the boneheads never check.

10. Here's what I thought about that comment.
Yes, it was a hard hit, but I think it can be spun very readily when Palin debates Biden next week.

Talk about a lack of judgment!!! I mean, picking her??? Wtf was he thinking? Of course, he wasn't.

11. Fuck middle America! It was an
empty assertion not supported by anything specific. As such, it will not sway any undecideds. Obama displayed good judgment during the debate tonight and appeared thoughtful and presidential, unlike McBush.
