10. I think he is regretting that at the moment.
McCain is so obnoxious :puke:

Obama finally took off the gloves.............I hope it's not too late. He is looking tough right now. He has to knock-out McCain.

6. Look, as long as Obama does not put forth strongly
that the war is fundamentally, morally wrong, that iot was a lie long before it even started, as long as he mentions how much money it has cost but never mentions the hundreds of thousands dead Iraqis, whetever else he says is as good as what you said. And how can he praise the Bushie asslicker Petreus?

3. Well
We did a great job paying $300 a month to militants, and the insurgents did a great job ethnically cleansing mixed neighborhoods in Baghdad.

12. I'm saying Obama's could be LOT better on the attack
and calling McCain on his bullshit, in no uncertain terms.

His audience here are swing voters in the rust belt- not univerisgty students.

15. understand your concern
my wife got upset because I was screaming fucking liar at the tv when mccain said things like he supported the 9-11 commission when he did not.
When are Dems going to figure out that the American public is not smart enough to discern truth from fiction. You have to explain it to them. I thought Obama could have worn a Kerry mask tonight and I would be 4 years younger .

16. TWO more debates, people
Obama can't go nuclear in debate #1. Back off already. It's called a slow play, and it works. Obama established himself as a calm, cool guy tonight and showed he knows the basics. McCain couldn't derail him, even with the condescending and insulting attacks that the media is now calling him on.

Debate #3 is the time to leave everything out there. Not now.

And anyway, Obama did fine.

23. Most people
tend to remember what they hear repeated over and over. Like a chorus. The top phrase of the nights was "John is absolutely right", no matter what came next. That was not smart.

24. While it is true that pugs will use those statements against him
he wouldn't get those votes anyway. He is showing that he can reach across the aisle and consider everyone's thoughts and take out of them those statements that are correct and reject the ones that are not. I think McCain's mean attitude could make some persons think he won the debate that doesn't matter as long as Obama wins the election. In some ways when I look back on the debates of 2000 some saw Gore as talking down to people while Bush was the nice guy everyone wanted to have a beer with. I think Obama will bring up important issues, but without talking down to his opponent and people will end up with the conclusion that it is Obama, not McCain that has the temperament to be President.

25. I hear you
and I hate how militaristic he is about Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Endless war in the Middle East is a good thing- says he- we're just fighting in the wrong country.
