Latest White House whopper: It was all Harriet's idea...
Now they want us to believe that this was a scheme that Harriet Miers came up with all by her little old self.

Well, here's a blast from the past:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/10/03/AR2005100301917.html

David Frum, a conservative commentator and former White House staffer, wrote on his blog that Miers once told him the president was the most brilliant man she knows. Many colleagues in the White House consider her personal views a bit of a mystery because she has subordinated them to the president's views.

"There's a deep, deep trust that the president has for Harriet," said Jack Howard, a former deputy assistant to the president for legislative affairs. "She is really close in."

2. Harriet's the sole transgressor -- while the jackals of the liberal media
rip that poor Mr. Gonzales to pieces.

The horror. The horror.

4. The buck stops somewhere else
bush has never been held accountable or responsible his entire life. To knife miers is pathological, a conservative solution, and pure republican.

10. "Pathological" - you said it, BOSS.
The very mentality of this oozing pustule to offer up Miers' head to the wolves, when all along she was his most devoted servant! Jesus, there is no bottom to the depths this particular Republican will go. He isn't human, and that may be our biggest problem. What will the inhuman creature do next? There is no way to know...

15. There is no doubt inside
my bald (yet handsome) head, that in the next 18 months we will discover more criminal activity from this person and his gang that we have no hint about now. To lie, cheat and steal. I always like to share the credit with the ignorant trash who continue to support the evil, because they are way too proud and ignorant to admit they are and have been wrong for years.

7. If this is true
Doesn't that still make the Bush Administration look bad, since they put her up as a candidate for the Supreme Court?

8. You mean Bush's top choice for the Supreme Court? We dodged a bullet there...
That comment that she made about Bush being the most brilliant man she knows is enough to disqualify her from consideration for any job that requires judgment.

11. Doesn't matter whose idea it was, its Bush's fault no matter what.
Because, after all, according to conservatives as recently as a few weeks ago and as far back as 2000, Bush isn't the brightest bulb, but hey, at least he is humble enough to recognize that, and surrounds himself with good, smart, qualified people. Right? Right?

12. Harriet Miers cartoon...
It's dated because she got axed, but I'm still kinda proud of this one. Cafe Press wouldn't let me sell it on shirts. BTW, best I can tell, I was the first (or one of the very first) to use "Crony Baloney." It was picked up all over the place after I posted this. I'm not saying that it was "stolen," just that I was out front with it.

17. Tomorrow we can expect HER press conference, wherein SHE
says, "Mistakes were made" and "I accept responsibility". And then on Monday Bush will inform us that SHE'S not resigning either.

I'm starting to detect a pattern here.

19. I'm changing my vocabulary.
There is no such thing in this administration as a political appointee, trusted crony, close advisor, friend of Dubya or anything of the sort.

They're all just ballast for the criminals trying to escape.
