3. What has happened is the technology boom in Northern VA
People moving into this community from many different areas, tech people are mostly liberal. That wasn't the case in 1976. Remember that most of the interent domain names are set up in Herndon, VA. Plus we have had many people moving into Prince Willian as well that are more liberal.

The south voted Democratic....Connecticut, New Jersey and Vermont Republican, West Virginia and Kentucky Democratic.

It was a different time indeed.
