Becoming American in Juneau
Last week, Juneau, Alaska welcomed 19 new citizens from around the world (Turkey, South Africa, Germany, Mexico, the Philipines, etc.)with a ceremony in the federal building. Reporter John Ryan of KTOO-Juneau was there and sent in this audio postcard of the experience of becoming an American.

It is very moving, and the comments made by our new citizens gave me fresh hope for the leadership American could once again give to this world.
