So what comes next? (Talk me down--please!)
McCain is down for the count, at least as ordinary electoral politics goes. There is no recovery at the ballot box at this point.

So what happens next?

We have all speculated on the likelihood that Bush won't want to turn the White House over to Democratic control. There are still too many bodies lying around in the basement. The Telltale Heart is still thumping behind that brick wall. And the ripoff isn't complete.

So what are they gonna do?

All my current ruminations keep returning to the thought of that brigade with the domestic assignment, and all those KBR camps.

Maybe the most benign outcome will simply be a flagrantly stolen election.

Other possibilities include a sudden war--even a nuclear war, or sudden outbreaks of disease, or...

...terminating in martial law and suspension of elections.

OK, people, talk me down.

1. Wish I could JR. I just posted this in another thread
"These are the domestic enemies our leaders' oaths are supposed to protect us from. Our own soldiers or not we should consider any military being used for domestic patrol as enemies of our state and act accordingly. By any means necessary and available."

2. Did you see that thread earlier? It freaked me the hell out but I can't find it now.
It was about detention camps etc. Some scary ass shit! :scared:

That said, I'm not sure if it will come to that because I think the game plan is to wreck the economy so they can bring in the North American Union and the Amero and kick The Constitution and the U.S.A. as we all know and love it to the curb.

Then * can become the dictatortot he's wanted to be all along. :tinfoilhat:

3. I'm scared like you, so I'm no help... we all thought Kerry would have a cakewalk &
would easily win, but yet they managed to steal that one too with the public not caring. And the stakes are even higher now. I don't know why they didn't bother to do anything about the electronic voting problem in the last four years!

And then on the other hand, sometimes I think they don't really want to win this one anyway because then they can blame Dems for all the messes Bush created & the collapsing economy, or as Stephen Colbert called it "the shitburger supreme".

It's going to be a long 40 days.

4. Nothing will happen, we will have elections
Just look at him in the last couple of days, this is all a disaster and he wants to get out.

I don't think being 'Preznent' was as much fun as he thought it was.

The Telltale Heart brought down the man in the story. It wasn't a story of getting away with the crime.

5. I agree that boosh wants out,
but Cheney? I'm not so sure about him. I could see them stealing this election, McCain will kick within a few months & President Palin will ask Cheney to help her pick her VP. Oh wait, something like that already happened.

8. I have a deer rifle and a couple shotguns.
I also served in the infantry in Vietnam, and saw the weapons of what was modern warfare 40 years ago. I have fired .50 machine guns, 30-cal machine guns, 106 recoilless rifles, M-16's, M-79 grenade launchers, and miscellaneous other weapons. I threw a couple of hand grenades (not "in anger"--more like in a state of sheer panic). I have also seen B-52 strikes and their aftermath; have seen the effects of all kinds of artillery, from 105's to 16-in. Naval guns, and have seen aerial rocket artillery, and a bunch of other stuff. Things have gotten more deadly and sophisticated since my era.

I have no illusions that my deer rifle & shotguns equip me against modern military weapons. And I don't have access to explosives appropriate for making IED's. I see no way Americans could mount an effective guerrilla war against their own military.

11. I have very similar experience as yours
I was being facetious or sarcastic however you may look at it. I see often on these boards the excuse for all the guns in America as being a defense against Government tyranny. I am for sensible gun regulation but many here are not.

12. I sorta understood your tone, but thought I'd unload anyway, for the benefit
of any who harbor delusions about an armed revolution with their squirrel guns.

7. What happens next?
Lies, smears, dirty tricks, vote caging, voter misinformation and intimidation, fear mongering, race baiting and more lies. You know the standard GOP tactics.

10. Saying McCain Is Down For The Count Is Incredibly Naive.
As far as the unbelievably irrational fears; well, I just can't help ya with that.
