The kind of logic I am seeing, where people oppose the bailout solely because Bush supports it (regardless of its pros and cons in objective reality) is really stunning to see.

1. While I support the idea of a bailout (with qualifiers), Bush supporting something does automaticall
y raise red flags in my mind.

2. No, but I'd sure look longer and harder at that option than otherwise.
Because I'd be absolutely sure that me not jumping off the bridge was in Bush's personal best interest, and not in mine, and further I'd be about 90% sure he was lying about the necessity and the outcome.

My best course of action would be to ignore Bush's advice altogether, study the bridge and the reasons for not jumping, and collect learned opinions from people I had reason and experience to trust of the pros and cons of not jumping, before making my decision.

Opinions like this one, in fact: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=103x387644

3. Sure. Let's help bush and his criminal cronies out of the financial and economic damage........
they have perpetrated and created. The bailout does NOT solve the PROBLEM, therefore why in hell do it?

7. I don't know who 'Most' are but here are SPECIFIC REASONS........
the bailout is a BAD IDEA. The bailout of thieves and swindlers is totally irrational.

5. That depends... Did he give me a golden parachute first?

Not really though...

I mean, the bridge would have to be high enough too... Otherwise I'd want wings, because then I'd be like a pterodactyl and they're phat with a P.
