This is what makes the McCain announcement that he's suspending his campaign to work on the economy so curious: he isn't an economics guy.

Something else is afoot...maybe he's getting out of the race? To be replaced by Mitt Romney, who of all the Repukes over there is the only one I'd even come close to trusting on the economy.

1. I wonder if the neo-cons order him to get back to DC so he could push and scream and punch
in some deal that does not behoove us at all. This is entirely fishy that he just has to run to DC, after his speech with Clinton's thing.

2. That's the reason he wants to go back to DC
He knows nothing about the economy so he's hoping to learn something.

And no, I don't think McCain is trying to get out of the race. He would do anything to become president and he knows this is his last shot at hit. His problem is that he thought he really had the press in the bag. Because of the internet the reporters that used to protect him have can't do it any more. Then his worst nightmare happened, the reporters started asking questions and the American public wanted answers. He couldn't cope. Now he's trying to play rope-a-dope but he's never had a knock out punch. He's desperate. His stupidity, desperation and ambition are showing.
