a theory on McCain pullout and chimp speech tonight:
The members of the soon to be former Bush administration will end up in prison as soon as there's an attorney general who makes even a token effort at doing his job.

The Bush people cannot allow this.

A major terrorist attack is not an option. For a couple of reasons:

  • to get the desired effect,it would have to be bigger than 9/11.

  • that would require the cooperation or misdirection of the military and CIA.

  • the Bushies have screwed the military and CIA so thoroughly and use them for fall guys so often that they will have an eye out and blow the whistle or monkeywrench any such operation.

Therefore, Bush is left with his last ally, Wall St. to create the crisis would give him the excuse to cancel the election.

If Bush does anything less than that tonight, the speech will be like kicking a pit bull. You don't kick a pit bull unless you're going to kill it in pretty short order. Our democracy is a pit bull that has just been shocked out of a coma, and they see the kick coming.

This is his scenario, as well, which we were discussing just a few minutes ago. I think if Bush tried this, we SURELY would be in "torches and pitchforks" territory. HullBoss and I will be on the next plane to DC if people decide to storm the White House and carry them all away on a rail.

4. Wall Street would need a hard crash to make that a possibility
Those wealthy weasels are doing everything to prevent that (Dow only down 29 pts today).

By hard crash, I mean a single day of 20% down.

That wont happen because there isnt enough interest by outside money to move in and take positions due to the long grind lower over the last year.
