So a Senator just said to bernake that bush said that a 35 to 50 million program
over five years for children's healthcare was rejected by bush as something we couldn't afford, but overnight we are told they need 700 BILLION dollars to bailout the financial system

1. Children don't write big donor checks and fund PACs and bundle donations.
Kids don't count, you see?

10. If he was from Texas
His name is John Cornyn and he's running for re-election this year. His Democratic opponent is an Afghanistan War veteran who's only 4 percentage points behind Cornyn.

Maybe that's why he's being such a "maverick", his seat is on the line.

11. It simply can't be fucking John Cornyn.
He is so fucking stupid, he can't even string words together in syntax to make a sentence.

How odd is that?

9. Cornyn's actually running ads here in Texas
Think he may be worried about Noriega.

I don't remember the last time a Republican running for a Senate seat in Texas had to spend ad money for the general election.

It's not the "children" he's concerned about, it's the votes.

Cynical? You bet.

12. i think the republicans are having a hard time in "socializing" the debt
when the democrats and republicans agree on something during election time then it could be the sign of the end times.

or as noted...there`s an election to win and one can`t afford to be on the losing side of an argument
