From the ashes we will build another day

I am not frightened.

The majority of us here have known poverty, many have shared their stories. We’ve picked up the pieces and moved forward. We survived. It wasn’t easy.

Most of our relatives went through the Great Depression. They picked up the pieces and moved forward. They survived. It wasn’t easy for them either.

This financial fiasco was not our doing. We have been the pawns in their chess game. We bought their lies that hard work could buy the American Dream. We were told to go out and shop, we were told to invest in 401Ks, buy a house, a bigger house and a bigger house still.

It was all a scam.

A house of cards, with no foundation and which is now about to fall. The powers that be thought it could go on forever. They tried to get a hold of our Social Security. That would have would have kept their Ponzi scheme propped up for another couple of years. Now they use blackmail. If we don’t fork over billions, the financial institutions will crumble and burn.

Let it crumble and burn.

It was their greed that we find ourselves in this financial mess. They outsourced and shipped our jobs overseas. It wasn’t us. They moved their corporate headquarters offshore to avoid paying taxes. Not us.

They took and took and took some more. It was never enough for them. They always needed another fix. They took until there was no more. Now the hogs are being slaughtered.

Now they are scared.

They don’t know how to survive. Who will they be without their millions and millions? How will they live amongst the unwashed masses?

Now, like the drug addicts that they are, they are threatening us. Give us the billions. They are not even begging. Now, they threaten us with financial ruin.

We’ve been there. We’ve done this. Most of us are still there. We are the other America.

Let it crash and burn.

And from the ashes we will build another day.
