Per my original post on Palin's "defenses" to the ROAD to Nowhere instead of the BRIDGE to Nowhere, and, as also reported on CNN (both TV and web) at http://tinyurl.com/4sbzyb , we learned the following today:

Even though the bridge to nowhere wasn't built in Alaska, Gov. Palin allowed the "Road to Nowhere" (the road that would connect the island airport to the bridge to Nowhere) to go forward at a cost of $3 million per mile.

Her claimed reasons why that Road to Nowhere had to go forward when the bridge didn't go forward simply don't make any sense, legal or otherwise.
