Why they always portray the educated as elitist....
Let's look at the educational background of the candidates:

Obama:
Occidental College - Two years.
Columbia University - B.A. political science with a specialization ininternational relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude

Biden:
University of Delaware - B.A. in history and B.A. in political science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

vs.

McCain:
United States Naval Academy - ranked 894 out of 899 (like George Bush,McCain was at the bottom of his class)

Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in journalism

Wouldn't you shy away from education when you compare the two?

3. don't forget gov. lipstick's "d" in macro-economics!!
didn't the article posted here last week about why people vote repuke mention education and how they view it?

on the other hand, when I was in college, one of my professors said, "you all are, in fact, an elite group, so quit apologizing for it."

I remember the nasty little comments about al gore after one of the debates (in which der chimpy was even stupider than usual) instead of pointing out how stupid chimpy was, they ranted about how gore was"like one of those eggheads you always hated in school"-- gee, that was one of the reasons I liked him. I DEMAND a president even smarter than I am, not someone to whom I would be required to teach remedial reading.
