What does McCain really stand for??
You know, I'd really like to find out. Because he seems to change his warped mind every time the wind blows. He's a MAVERICK! .. no.. He's a LIBERAL! .. no no.. He's A CONSERVATIVE!!!! He's an ambitious prick who will say anything to win the election. He's also very transparent which disgusts me even more because there's a large portion of the population who.. for whatever reason can't seem to see past it. PATHETIC!

Sorry.. I'm alone right now and had to get it out.

6. He stands for the Republic Party's complete contempt for this country
I mean, look at the man. He's obviously showing signs of early dementia. He ordered a running mate from Dobson, of all people, and signed her on before the party could vet her. That they saw all the signs we did and failed to pull the plug on his run for the presidency before or during the convention speaks volumes to me.

Yes, I know they felt he'd been screwed over in 2000 and they owed it to him to allow him his turn, but really! He's no longer qualified, his running mate is a total disaster, and his campaign is such a shambles that even Pox News is wincing at the lies he's putting out.

If anyone in the halls of power withing that party cared at all for this country, there would have been a last minute switch at the convention, anything to prevent this man from continuing down this road.

9. He is a symbol, but doesn't see it
Edited on Mon Sep-22-08 11:54 AM by DFW
He thinks he is getting his vindication for not getting the nomination in 2000, and
sees this is history righting itself.. He probably only has the slightest inkling that
the selection of Palin as his VP candidate has reduced him to a cartoon caricature in
the eyes of much of the world (sadly, not enough of the USA).

To the rest of the country and the world, he stands for the worst elements of our society:
intolerance, the right of the wealthy to rule, the "might makes right" principle, and the
idea that you win an argument by stealth, deception, or force. He has forfeited whatever
vestiges of his "honor" label he had left (I don't care HOW much lip service Obama pays to
it--we don't believe, and I suspect neither does Obama) to his ambition to "show them" one
more time. All he's showing us at this point is the Emperor's New Clothes, and the sight is
not pretty. As in the fairy tale, many people are pretending they see something because they
desperately WANT to see something, but no, they really don't see anything either.

How disgusting that he is getting double digits in any poll.

He's a conservative.

Unfortunately for him, deregulation is not so popular right now.
