FBI serves search warrant against student in Palin (hacker) case

The FBI is stepping up its investigation into the possibility that a University of Tennessee student hacked into the personal e-mail of Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

A person who identified himself as a witness tells 10 News that agents with the FBI served a federal search warrant at the Fort Sanders residence of David Kernell early Sunday morning.

A separate law enforcement source confirmed to 10 News that a search warrant was served on Kernell's apartment.

The witness tells us they asked him and those who did not live in the unit to go outside. He believes the investigators took about 1.5 to 2 hours taking pictures of everything inside the apartment. Witnesses say Kernell and his friends fled the apartment when the FBI agents arrived.

when there was a massive amount of overdoses here in my county (wealthy white kids ODing every week).
Within what seemed like weeks local officials announced they had traced the sellers all the way back to what country it is they had come from.

A Dallas politician had this to say at the time (paraphrasing): "Amazing how they can investigate/solve this so fast when it is wealthy white kids dying to the point that they know the name of the farmer who grew the drug in his field in Columbia but when it comes to keeping drugs off the streets here in Dallas urban area, officials can't seem to get anything done at all"
