1. I actually think that Pat Buchanan is batshit crazy insane. And dangerous.
He is looking true criminal behavior in the face and denying it. He is creating false analogies. The man belongs in a loony bin - or jail. And they won't let the poor fellow in the middle get a word in edgewise! This is total, complete, unadulterated bullshit!

6. Yep. He was on Hardball earlier
and he was totally kissing Gonzales' butt on this whole mess. I could not believe my ears. He is an idiot and it takes him forever to admit Repukes horrible behavior.

26. Scarborough and Buchanan, what a pair
Edited on Tue Mar-13-07 08:58 PM by Canuckistanian
Sometimes they're true Bushbots, loyal to the core, smearing and sliming Dems left and right (so to speak).

Then, all of a sudden, they're correctly criticizing neocons, questioning Bush's sanity and demanding resignations of top Bush officials.

It's like they haven't stabilized their med dosages.

I don't trust either of them.

But I especially pay attention to Buchanan, from whom I take my DU name. He's entertainment no matter which way he goes.

4. remember how everybody was so happy when he was appointed lead
attorney in the GFN legal doings in 2000?

he was PATHETIC.

wonder if he was hired by the same people who put Lieberman on the ticket

3. Pat Buchanan is all over the place
Some days he makes sense, other days he is a nutcase. Today he's a nutcase.

Scarborough makes my head spin. He is making sense. Ratings push? Maybe he wants to keep the Countdown audience?

11. I've noticed........
...for about 6 months now, Scarborough seems to be making sense. I sometimes even enjoy watching his show!! And there was a time when I would NEVER watch his show because he was always giving the same right wing BS talking points.

5. Wasn't Boies the attorney for Gore in 2000 electiongate?
And he is staunchly saying that there is nothing illegal here. So, what's up - did someone get to him? Does he REALLY believe the BS he is spouting?

7. yes, he was, and he SUCKED it hard then. Also, what is his HURRY
to decide what really happened, before ANY evidence has been revealed to the Senate?

why doesn't he just STFU until we actually know what happened?

He's just a fricking mole, pushing a new book

he can crawl back into the hole he helped dig us six and a half years ago

24. In his book
on the 2000 election theft, Vince Bugliosi notes that David B's experience was in areas that were distant from the Gore v Bush controversy. Whoever recommended him set Gore up, either purposely or out of utter ignorance.

27. I have to believe that. It appears to be some kind of set-up.
I don't normally put on the tin-foil, but this Boies guy is so far out there that I have to believe it was a set-up.

31. From Bugliosi's book:
"As far as Boies is concerned, if I'm going to be candid I have to say that although he seems to be a very nice, pleasant man and quite intelligent, with a photographic memory, and although he may be a superb corporate or business lawyer, he bears no resemblance to what my conception of an effective trial lawyer is. At least based on what I saw of him in the case of Bush v Gore, not only wasn't Boies a fighter (indeed, he was almost meek), but he wasn't forceful or eloquent at all in making his points. And although he seemed to have a very good grasp of the facts, he seemed completely incapable of drawing powerful, irresistible inferences from those facts that painted his opposition into a corner." (pages 72-73 of "The Betrayal of America")

And that was a description of Boies before his decline.

33. My recollection on that terrible period in history mirrors the excerpt you have quoted.
Boies weak, meek and mild. I couldn't understand how it all slipped away from us.

What a shame. A terrible shame.

I think I need to read Bugliosi's book. I just don't know if I can stomach more outrage.

8. I didn't see his comments ...
so... (I' guess I'll recklessly comment). My understanding is that the firings were not illegal (the USA's serve at the pleasure of the pres) ... however, the firings are unethical (firing as retribution for not pursuing politically motivated prosecutions)

12. Boies was outgunned at every turn...
by Slick Jimmy Baker and his 60 million slush fund and Enron jets. Boies doesn't impress me. Furthermore, after Bush v. Gore, he got caught in a overbilling scandal when clients were ripped off by overcharges for document management by a firm owned by his children and relatives. http://www.bmacewen.com/blog/archives/2005/08/what_was_david.html

30. Agreed .......Buchanan's voice grates on my soul and ears.
It is whiney to begin with then raises in pitch in increased whininess
he then starts using his hands in an arrogant posturing manner like Hitler did.

I would almost watch Joe because he has Huffington on sometimes
and other guests I would like to hear on his panels.
But every-time, I have to turn it off because of Pat.

23. from wiki: He was the president of the campus Young Republicans.
He has been married three times. He married his first wife - his high school sweetheart - just prior to enrolling at Redlands. While at Redlands he also taught journalism at a local mental hospital. He was the president of the campus Young Republicans.

34. BOIES was on with HANNITY the night of the Scooter verdict & agreed with the wingnuts
Get THIS: The panel consisted of NOVAKula, Laura INGRAHAM, and BOIES, and he was INDISTINGUISHABLE from the wingnuts in his views.

He even looked at the camera with a sneer, like, "For any Libs watching me now..."

I was SHOCKED to see him on Faux. I posted, "What's up with BOIES?" that night.
