How to reason with a Republican on their party's economic record.
Edited on Sun Sep-21-08 08:52 AM by screembloodymurder
1. Remind them that Phil Gramm sponsored the bill that took out Glass Steagall.

2. Print out this vote and roll the paper around a broken Coke bottle. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=s1999-105&sort=vote

3. When a Republican tries to tell you Clinton was responsible, take the vote and stick it up their ass.

3. But Clinton did not veto it...
sure it defends our senators but if Clinton had vetoed it maybe it never would have passed....the democratic congress of 06 keeps blaming bush for vetoing bills that they cant get through....the gramm bill did not have a veto proof majority

6. It didn't have a veto proof majority, but....
It must have had a fox "news" (read: right-wing propaganda) "effect" for sure.
