Have any of you ever thought of this? Cheney, Rush, Rove, Gramm, Coulter, Newt, et al's PARENTS?

As in, how did these assholes turn out to be so mean, self-centered, greedy, lying, (fill in the blank) dickheads? I don't think good/bad people are always a result of their parents, by any means, but they usually ARE a big influence. I'm just trying to imagine Cheney's dad. Must be a real monster. "Now lissen' here little Dickie - I wantcha to grow up and SCREW PEOPLE TO THE WALL, OK?". :^)

Or for that matter, can you imagine some of these people as kids? Teenagers? You know how with a lot of people you can still kind of see that 'inner 10 year old' now and then? - a certain smile, laugh, the way they get excited over something. Can you imagine Dick 'Dick' Cheney at 8? I sure as hell can't!

We all knew those types of adolescents - they were the ones torturing animals, terrorizing the kids who were less powerful than them, destroying person property, etc. That pretty much describes Shrub.

then - re: what she said about the people in the Astrodome, which was (if I remember right) kind of like 'let 'em eat cake'. I said 'if we had any doubt that he (W) was a son of a bitch, we sure don't now'.

3. I could imagine Limbaugh as a kid

He would have been that sort of kid who would waddle up to someone on the playground and sucker-punch them, then run off screaming with laughter. And if he got caught, he'd cry a sob story to the vice-principal. Newt would have been the sort of kid who would steal stuff from the classroom and call everybody else names.

Ann Coulter still acts like a moody 15 year old, whining and complaining about the popular girls in school.

Dick Cheney is the sort of kid who would shoot a sparrow in his backyard, and then run over to watch it slowly bleed to death, then carry the corpse around to show to girls he liked.

Phil Gramm would have been the sort of kid I remember being loud-mouth braggarts; always bragging he was better and smarter than everyone else, and toughter, but if any other kid told him to shut up or challenged him to a fight, Gramm would have wet his pants and run home to mommy.

I remember the kids in my school who grew up to be Republicans, and they were all the whiny, braggart, cowardly, stupid types.

Ain't hard to visualize them as kids at all; and all of them had overbearing, overprotective parents.

Sometimes, it causes their children to have views exactly opposite, though. Or at least helps.

My mom is racist and loves to "quote" the Bible - she's really just repeating what she heard, though, she doesn't KNOW the Bible that well. She's not into politics, though.

Anyway - she was off work last night and suggested a church we might go to. I told her she couldn't PAY me enough to attend that particular church.

The hypocrisy and ignorance she lives in helped turn me liberal. LOL. I love her, but just... no. I also have an uncle who is campaigning for my mortal soul. My soul's fine, thanks!
