I just asked a Republican to name ONE GOOD THING Bush has done

"Name one good thing Clinton did".

That's when I said "How about you answer the question instead of changing the subject?"

Then I asked another question: "How many people has Bush killed so far?"
He "answered": "How many people did the terrorists kill on 9/11?"

Again, not answering my question. So I asked: "What did Iraq have to do with 9/11?"
He changed the subject: "Iraq had WMD".

I gave him the truth: "No they didn't have WMD. They didn't find any."

You know what he said? "They did have WMD, because WE sold them to Iraq".


I'm mentally exhausted. I will not have a conversation with a Republican again.

We did sell WMD to Iraq. Iraq used those weapons to gas its own people. However, those types of WMD have a limited shelf life, and they were long past being any good anymore when we invaded, and our government knew that.

11. The die hard Bushistas are a lost cause

Even Hitler had his supporters left in Germany long after the war ended, and after all the crimes of the Nazi regime had been exposed. There is hope in some of the "moderate" Republicans, but for the most part arguing with them is pointless. And even while I say this, I find myself doing it all the time. It's hard not to, I know. But for the most part it's better to focus on the swing voters and middle of the road type people. That's where the real potential for conversion lies.
