28. Looks like 180 Billion doesn't go as far as it used to.
They are NOT going to be able to Print their way out of this or Paper over this.

It looks like "The Power Of Bullshit" is finally losing it's steam.

32. That's what I'm afraid of, is that they will go too far in trying to save..
the market, and in the end make the currency value worthless.

2. Flopping around like a fish on the deck...the sign to be a market scavenger
is when the blood in the scuppers starts to congeal.

That may be after the White Sales winter.

4. So you're assuming the market will never recover?
I guess that's a possibility (see Japan) but for the sake of this country I hope not.

6. Well, not any time real soon
Not within the next couple fo weeks at the least.

Possibly not even in the next six months.

It will recover, but it's nowhere near the bottom yet. I predict 7500 will be the bottom. I may be estimating high, though.

14. Yeah, but if the market is going to drop any more (and it will)
you can wait to buy and still keep it in for years or decades. Your profit will be higher if you do. Now is not the time to buy. Wait a few weeks.

18. You can try your predictions and attempts to time the market
It's usually a losing proposition since it's impossible to know where the bottom or high is until after the fact.

22. No I expect the ponzi scheme to be revived
Until the players who start it capture as much wealth as they can.
All of this market value is based on the assumption that you as a buyer will be able to sell it to someone else at a higher price and put that money in your pocket. But someone always must be left holding the bag oe there is no profit.
The stock market is no longer a method of collecting dividends from a successful company but a pyramid scheme.

11. I don't think anyone's happy about this.
But I'll admit to some relief that there appears to be some finality to this disasterous path we've been on for years. It's like the alcoholic that has to hit bottom before agreeing to go to rehab - it's a relief to the family when it happens. Fair enough?

39. Typical DLC Bullshit.
DO you guys ever get any new material, or are you just hoping that the current tired memes will continue to resonate with the lambs in the meadow?

No one is HAPPY about the Market going down, and every time someone expresses legitimate observation about the seismic events happening in our economy, or attempting to look beyond the constant stream of BULLSHIT we are being fed by Mainstream And Financial Media about the true state of things, as sure as the sun rises, we see one of these cautionary "concern" posts.

I'm sure after the Orgy that happened in the final hour today, you will be one of the many memebrs of the "Rose-Colored Brigade" that will be marching full force through the streets of the forum, cajoling everyone that everything is fine once again, "look they fixed it with that scheme they came up with in 1980 the last time they needed to save themselves."

Please, just give it a rest, and stop it with the bullshit generalizations masked as "concern."

"It makes us look like a bunch of jerks."

No sweetie, it just makes people like you look more OBVIOUS.

:eyes:

15. Down 60 plus now, looks like it's going into its daily death spiral
I think that the bargain hunters were out this morning, but the ones who are looking for a safe haven and bailing out of the market have completely swamped the bargain hunters. Once the price went up a bit, a lot of people did a cut and run for safer places like gold, t bills, etc.

Now down 100 plus as a wrote this. Going to be another long day.

16. Like a platform diver, it goes up, twists, and then plunges.
It's NOT going to find a "bottom" for quite a while. This is why the "Greater Fool" predators keep trying to edict/legislate mindless cash infusions to feed the beast.

Even a vampire eventually drains the victims dry.
