I watched the 20/20 special about the Royal Family.
I felt pity for the Queen. She was seated next to Bush at the State Dinner. At her age (82), she's still as sharp as a tack. I do know this is protocol with having heads of state seated next to each other.

6. I have to respectfully disagree
She never asked for her job--it's just the way things are in Great Britain that the heir of the monarch becomes the next monarch. I'm not that crazy about Charles because I think with great privilege a certain amount of sacrifice should be endured uncomplainingly, but the Queen has always done her job diligently.

8. Now don't you go pickin' on my homeboy!
Charles is one of the good ones. ;-) I LOVED his rant on architecture and totally agree with him. He is a stalwart supporter of environmental issues.

Buckingham Palace. There were large photos on display in one room of people who had attended state banquets, and the chimp's picture was among them. It was a pretty awful thing to come across. Still, considering the Queen's lifestyle, which is incredibly lavish compared with the average resident of the UK, having to sit next to the chimp at dinner is a small price to pay for the luxury she enjoys.

10. I remember when he said about Queen Elizabeth looked at like only a mother could.
Too bad Barbara Bush couldn't look at him like a mother could. He needed it quite a few times.
